I specialise in researching and reporting on the present day status of alleged rights of way and disputed highways. I have operated as a consultant since 1996, and have been involved in over 100 cases throughout England and Wales, ranging from individual investigations to the preparation and presentation of documentary evidence at Public Inquiries.

I work for all types of client, and operate as a truly independent, confidential consultant. My clients need have no concerns about the discretion of the service offered, and can be absolutely confident that their case will not be discussed with any third party without their prior consent.

I believe that, even though rights of way disputes can become confrontational, all parties involved deserve to be treated with the utmost respect and consideration. Whether you are a landowner, a member of a volunteer group, or a representative of a local authority (from County Council to Parish Council), I will always act in your best interests.

informed
I have a background of work in a local authority highways department, as a technical auditor, which gives me an insight into local government processes, as well as bringing focus and direction to my research. I write regularly for a local history magazine, deliver training courses and lectures, and keep myself up to date with developments in rights of way and highway law with regular attendance at training courses and seminars.
